Michael Netzley, Ph.D.

Michael is the Founder and CEO of Extend My Runway Pte Ltd (EMR) and a global award winning executive development facilitator and coach. He currently coaches and facilitates with IMD SE Asia and teaches Designing a Better Workplace for the Future of Work: Advanced Certificate in Future WorkforceArchitecture at SMU Academy. Previously he was the Academic Director of the Graduate Certificate in Applied Innovation.

Before founding EMR, Michael previously consulted with EY’s People Advisory Services and Heidrick & Struggles. He also spent 15 years on the faculty of Singapore Management University where he built a successful career in teaching excellence and executive development. His work was recognised with the 2011 Champions Award for innovative course design and delivery from the Central and Eastern European Management Association, the 2015 Best Case Award in entrepreneurship from EFMD, and the 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year recognition from APAC Entrepreneurs.

Since moving to Asia Michael has worked with more than 15,000 professionals and he has received held visiting professor in Argentina, Finland, Germany, Japan, and Slovenia.

In his spare time, Michael is now earning a second Masters Degree in Applied Neuroscience at King’s College London and enjoys early-morning runs.

Tomas Klvana, Ph.D.

C O - F O U N D E R AND CHIEF LEARNING OFFICER

Tomas is a senior international management consultant. He specialises in management, communication and stakeholder strategies. He  is a Visiting Professor at the New York University Prague where he lectures in Stern School of Business programme on stakeholder management.

He served as Spokesman and Policy Adviser for President of the Czech Republic and Special Czech Government Envoy for Communications of the Missile Defense Programme, a U.S.-Czech-Polish project which brought him to work with U.S. Congress, Pentagon, State Department and the White House. He was a Shorenstein Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

He worked in various senior management functions at British American Tobacco in London, Hamburg, Prague and Brussels. As an independent consultant he advised international companies including International Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (Astra Zeneca, Pfizer or GSK), Lockheed Martin, Philip Morris International, EPS, Groupe SEB, and other. Tomas founded Aspen Institute Prague and is a member of its International Advisory Board. He holds a Ph. D. from University of Minnesota (USA). In 2012 he received Distinguished Leadership Award For Internationals from University of Minnesota.
